Exercise Training and Rehabilitation
After any injury, there is disruption not only of the tissue, but to the neurological control of that tissue. A low back injury for example; when the low back is injured not only are the muscles and joints affected, but the neurological picture of that body part becomes less clear to the brain and the control of that area is less precise. Rehab exercises serve to help restore and strengthen that “brain-body” connection so that recovery results in restored normal movement, increased strength, flexibility, endurance and ultimately less likelihood of re-injury.
